Tang Feng
Science fiction editor, writer, and screenwriter. I also teach creative writing, and make the occasional AI or game experiment.
Zero-G Journey
A lightweight zero-gravity flying game that runs in the browser. You steer your body through open space, adjusting direction, speed, and orientation. The desktop version is playable; touch controls for mobile are in progress.
AI & Creative Writing
A 16-hour small-group course on story development with AI. We break down short-form drama, build characters and outlines, and practice how to find ideas, judge them, cut what doesn’t work, and revise.
Why I want my personal site to be an AI entry point
People — and AI agents — should be able to quickly understand what I’ve done, how I make judgments, and when it makes sense to reach out.
A personal AI should never pretend to be me
It needs to distinguish between what I have explicitly said, what can reasonably be inferred, and what it simply does not know.
Taste is not a list of things I like
What matters is when I encountered a work, and exactly how it changed the decisions I made afterward.
Why does a half-finished tail stroke produce the best thrust?
I don’t want players to learn a fast key-tapping trick. I want them to end up feeling, “I’m swimming.”
Why I abandoned the visual overhaul of Zero-G Journey
I replaced the colorful stardust with a more “serious” dark-space look, then discovered the game was less fun. So I went back.
Starboard
Historical novel. Two boys lost at sea grow from smuggling orphans into an armed maritime force branded “wokou” by the imperial court.
The Usurper
Science fiction novel. After a pandemic breaks the global order, new powers push technology, capital, and private authority into unfamiliar territory.
